Forum, Rome

St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican, Rome.

Here is Ian reading in the hotel room, with the great dome of St. Peter's reflected in the window.

This is Frankie & Gwen standing in a light shaft in St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican, Rome. They don't like the shot, but Annie does.

Castel Sant'Angelo

Annie thinks the statue of Sant'Angelo, St. Michael, looks like Ian.

Coliseum, Rome

Shots taken by Frank of the Coliseum.

She's bloody gorgeous. whoever she is.

Another beautiful dome in St. Peter's. Hope you can zoom in on it.

Dome, St. Peter's

St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican, Rome. St. Peter is buried here. This is the first photo of several beautiful domes.

Castel Santangelo, Rome

This is the fort where the Pope used to hide out when Rome was under seige. Built by the Emperor Hadrian (117-138) as a Mausoleum for himself and his successors, Castel Sant'Angelo was completed by Antoninus Pius in 139. It's on the Tiber, about 2 blocks from our hotel.

Frank in Rome

Frankie isn't sure whether the camera is turned on. This is our first full day in Rome. Jet lag, perhaps?

Annie & Gwen at St. Peter's Square, Rome

This is our first afternoon, at St. Peter's Square, the Vatican, about 2 blocks from our hotel.

Vacation in Italy

Hello All,

We are attempting to create a blog so all can access photos of our trip. (We've come a long way from inviting people over for slide shows, haven't we?) Anyway, hope this works, and hope you like the photos. Sincerely, Annie & Frank
